All the data can be found here -- http://www.rasmussenreports.com
So, are the ads and the controversy having an impact? The trends of the Rasmussen numbers indicate they are.
Here is the bottom line:
August 1: Bush 45 Kerry 49 (-4 Bush/ 6 Undecided)
Today: Bush 47 Kerry 46 (+1 Bush/ 7 Undecided)
That is a 5 point shift. A huge movement with such a low undecided number.
Rassmussen is also showing Florida as:
August 3: Bush 45 Kerry 47 (-2 Bush)
August 24: Bush 49 Kerry 47 (+2 Bush)
A 4 point shift.
Rassmussen's Electoral College Trends are also showing significant movement.
Aug 3: Bush 197 Kerry 227 (+30 Kerry)
Today: Bush 183 Kerry 203 (+20 Kerry)
Perhaps the most significant aspect of the electoral college data is that we ae barely 60 days out and there are 152 electoral votes up for grabs.
Neither side has managed to secure their electoral college base up to this point. As a result, it will make for a very interesting fall. It also creates more opportunities for SBVT to be the MVPs of this election.
