Fox co-host Alan Colmes is highly delusional.
He characterized Kerry as courageous in taking the initiative to speak out against the war. He referred to him as being ahead of "the curve" and as "a pioneer." So this is the spin now??? |

Yeah, I caught that comment, too--
Alan seems to be suffering from a very convenient memory if he thinks that John Kerry was a "pioneer in the anti-war movement" in 1971--
Maybe he forgot the Sterling Hall bombing at the Uniersity of Wisconsin in August 1970--
But did he forget Kent State (May, 1970)?--Did he think that what happened that day sprung full-grown from a war that had up until that point been "popular"?--
What really slays me is the fact that somehow or other the 1968 Democratic Convention and what happened in the streets of Chicago that week seems to have entirely slipped his mind!!--ROFL!!--
John Kerry wasn't a "pioneer" in opposing the war in Viet Nam in 1970--By that time, opposition to the war was far more "popular" than support for it, the moreso the farther to the Left one was (and let's face it, there's very little room indeed to Mr. Kerry's left)--At that point in time, opposing the war was one of the safest ways to endear himself to the Left Wing and make a name for himself in preparation for a political career as a Democrat--There wasn't a thing in the world "courageous" about it--C _________________ “I haven’t seen anyone milk this much out of a bad boat ride since Gilligan” -- Dennis Miller |
