to read Retired Rear Adm. William L. Schachte Jr's statements. He
was aboard the "Skimmer" with Kerry when Kerry fired his
M-79 (grenade launcher) and wounded himself - not deserving of a
purple heart.

Rear Adm. Schachte is supported by other officers.
