Larry Thurlow saved PCF 3. He got no more recognition than Kerry, who retrieved the guy he himself spilled. Thurlow really did put his life on the line to save the boat and those guys.
Robert Lambert got a Bronze Star for pulling Thurlow out of the water.
Jack Chenoweth got nothing that day for pulling two guys out of the water himself?
If this is accurate, shold Chenoweth not have gotten twice Kerry's recognition?
What am I missing? |

If Kerry filled out the after action reports he embelished his actions and minimized everyone elses. |

Kerry had to have talked to someone. There were facts that Kerrry could not have had himself for Thurlow's citation. That recommendation had to come from someone else.
Anyone know who recommeded Thurlow and Lambert?
But why not Chenoweth?
If under fire, everyone on every boat should have gotten a medal, just like on 28 Feb 69.
No? |
