What a gas! A great read!
Imagine a DLG on Yankee Station. His commander writes him up as a great Public Affairs Officer. It's like saying he was the best screen door on a submarine.
With much time to kill on Gonzo Station I was able to read the magazine logs of my DDG for '68. The ship unrepped full loads of 5", moved to the gun line to dump it all in NGSF and rotated back on a daily basis for months! There was every opportunity and a very real need to qualify junior officers for formation steaming and absolutely no need of a PAO. |

My only regret is that the kerry supporters don't know how to read stuff like that, so they miss out on teh FuNnaY.
Heck, over at D.U., they're all in a tizzy because they found a picture of the president wearing a unit citation, and it's not mentioned on his DD214.
