I believe the mainstream media, and also the Democratic Party, assume that the Swiftvets will start to taper off their advertising and the attention paid to Mr Kerry after the Republican convention.
I believe that the Swiftvets still have a lot of work to do. The message has gotten out to a large majority of Americans, but the message is mixed because of the modifying influence of the Lame Stream Press.
The Swiftvets need to continue their excellent work and convince as many voters as possible that their messages are truthful.
Keep in mind that the LSP doesn't have experience fighting an ongoing battle and will just give up. The LSP only has so much time on TV or space in the paper. They can't continue to spend the time defending Mr Kerry against the truth. The internet is now too powerful and even though news dies quickly in the press and on TV, it's because the media makes that decision.
This subject does not have to die until Mr Kerry is defeated or admits to his lies and deceit.
Hopefully the Swiftvets have a campaign planned and will vary the messages. For example: Once the public accepts the fact that some or all of Mr Kerry's Purple Hearts are bogus, a very, very simple message that can be conveyed in a TV ad is that he collected his bandaid Purple Hearts and went home. Left the Band of Brothers in the jungle to go home and bash them. And compare this to other vets who deliberately turned down being rewarded a third Purple Heart because they didn't want to leave their brothers.
Kerry has his tail between his legs, looking for others like Max Clellan and MSN to fight his battles. The Swiftvets have to keep this going and we all have to try to all do our share with donations. |
