What is not mentioned in that blog is how Ben Barnes screwed up his own facts.

He said he got Bush and others in the National Guard when he was Lt. Governor. Only problem is that he wasn't Lt. Governor at the time, he was Speaker of the Texas State House. Nor does he explain exactly how he got Bush into the Guard. Did he order someone to do it? Did he play with paper work? Did he tell the clerk, "Look!" and when the clerk looked away Barnes changed the order of enlistment?

Plus, here's another key thing... If Bush did get a little extra help with the National Guard, I guess this is supposed be a predictive tool of how he will behave as Commander in Chief? Okay. I've got a better predictive tool: how about the last 4 years. My bet is that might be a more accurate gauge of how Bush is as CinC. Why don't you use that to figure out if you want to vote for him or not.

The MSM still cannot deal with the reality that this story is about Kerry. This story is not directed by Bush. This is about Kerry and his former shipmates.

(And for pete's sake, Bush's Dad was a war hero, and a congressman with exceptional contacts and relationships, does anyone really think he didn't get at least some special treatment? This is supposed to be news? Does anyone think that the twins don't get special treatment? Or Chelsea? Or Kerry's kids? Do they really think people are offended by this "broadside attack" on our egalitarian paradise?)
