|

What follows is a factual and irrefutable statement:
Lt(j.g.) John Kerry, on October 14 and 15, 1969, while still a commissioned officer in the United States Navy on active duty during a period of intense hostilities in Vietnam, when fellow service personnel were being wounded and killed, personally piloted protesters to rallies where they could give antiwar speeches. Lt (j.g.) Kerry was not discharged from the Navy until January, 1970, three months latter.
(Background: At the time Lt (j.g) Kerry was an aide to a Rear Admiral at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York)
Note: In October, 1969 at least two Swift boat sailors were killed in Vietnam-they were:
Richard Laverne Wissler, Jr., (QM2), Willow Street, PA
Kenneth Dean Norton, (Ltjg) , Lady Lake, FL
Reference sources:
1.The Harvard Crimson (February 18, 1970)-"John Kerry: A Navy Dove Runs for Congress"
Kerry is a pilot, and on October 14 and 15 he flew Ted Kennedy's advisor Adam Walinsky by private plane throughout the State of New York so that Walinsky could give speeches against the Vietnam War. But Kerry was smart enough not to put down "Moratorium" on the Navy signout sheet for that Tuesday and Wednesday.
2.Book-"The Vietnam Experience-A War Remembered" (1986) published by Boston Publishing. Contains an article written by John Kerry in which he states:
I intended to go to law school when I came back, but while I was still in the navy I participated in the Moratotium against the war in October 1969.
3.The Boston Globe (June 17, 2003)-"With antiwar role high visibility"
... A leader in the New York protest, Adam Walinsky, a former speech writer for Robert F. Kennedy, said he needed a pilot to take him around the state On October 15. Did anyone know a pilot?
Peggy Kerry said she would provide such a volunteer: her brither.
John Kerry flew Walinsky around New York to deliver speeches against the war....
4.Book-"Tour of Duty-John Kerry and the Vietnam War", by Douglas Brinkley (2004) , page 337
An important turning point in Kerry's life occured in October 1969 when his sister Peggy-then actively protesting the Vietnam War- volunteered her brother to fly former Robert F Kennedy speechwriter Adam Walinsky around the state to deliver antiwar addresses...
Question to all service personnel of all wars (WWII,Korea, Vietnam Persian Gulf, and Iraq), their families and friends, and all other Americans concerned with the security of the United States:
Is this type of behavior during wartime a characteristic trait we want in a "potential" commander-in-chief, or does it clearly indicate that the individual is unfit for command?
Anticipated Kerry and Democractic National Committee response:
He didn't actively participate in the rallies. He didn't give any speeches.
Even though he was on active duty he didn't wear his uniform.
This will sound like the defense of a getaway driver during an armed bank robbery who says he wasn't in the bank during the shooting and he wasn't carrying a gun. It's unlikely the jury will buy it.
Is this activity on the part of John Kerry worthy of another SBVT ad? |

Does this conduct of Kerry's violate the Uniform Code of Military Justice?
Then again, so does burning villages, violating the Geneva and Hague Conventions, and behaving like Genghis Khan. _________________ --Bill

13 and 14 OCT69 were a Tuesday and Wednesday, working days in anyone's Navy, even for Admirals' aides. If Kerry would execute the SF 180, we could see his pay records and determine if he took leave for these days. I suspect he did not.
These were not the only times Kerry spent ferrying this radical around New York State to anti-war activities while on active duty. |
