The term anti-war is a misnomer as it applies to Kerry. Rather than anti-war movement we need to start referring to it as the enemy sympathizing movement which more accurately portrays the VVAW and Kerry's leadership role. Many Americans do not have a problem with being anti-war since it is one of our First Amendment rights. The case could easily be made that Kerry was an enemy sympathizer so why don't we start labeling him as such. |

I'd hazard a guess that most of us are "anti-war".
We're anti-child abuse, but I bet we've all scolded and spanked our kids.
We're anti-government spending, but we approve of varying degrees of welfare.
We're for the separation of church and state, but the words "under God" in the pledge of allegiance don't bother us.
We're for free speech, but don't disapprove of limiting pornography in public libraries.
We're just a bit to the right of the "dotted line", as presently drawn. |

I think they use antiwar because it isn't as harsh sounding enemy sympathizer. Kerry was then and will forever be a VC sympathizer who turned on those he served with. |
