Kerry appeals to veterans
By Charles Hurt
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
NASHVILLE — John Kerry was received politely by the American Legion today when he delivered a speech that focused on veterans' issues but did not address attacks leveled against him last month by fellow veterans.
Vietnam veteran Manny Mirailh from South Canaan, Pennsylvania, was among a handful of veterans who walked out as Mr. Kerry began speaking.
"We, we, we, we," he said, rolling his eyes. "When did he join the Legion? He must have a mouse in his pocket."
In a conference room off the main convention hall here, the anti-Kerry veteran group ? Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ? distributed flyers, buttons and CD-ROMs of information about Mr. Kerry.
"The wounds inflicted by John Kerry on millions of veterans go to the heart and soul," veteran Dexter Lehtinen said of Mr. Kerry's testimony before Congress 33 years ago accusing U.S. soldiers of committing atrocities. "These wounds go away." |

Kerry, that barking moonbat appeasement weasel, couldn't appeal to any veteran that I have ever known in my life. And nothing he says appeals to me.
Keep the pressure on. Kerry will crumple. |
