I sent the following email to the contact address for the American Legion. If several more forum members would send siilar emails, maybe the AE would go along wit this idea. Especially if the people sending the emails are AE members, as I am not.

Subject: John Kerry Should Be Asked To Apologize

Sir,

I strongly believe that John Kerry should not simply be allowed to

address an organization like the American Legion without making

some acknowledgment of and apology for his past sins against

veterans. I believe that John Kerry should be forced to watch

one or more of the following statements and then be given an

opportunity to apologize - and not allowed to speak further if he

refuses.

John Kerry betrayed all of us in 1971 and 1972. He owes all of

us an apology now. At the very least.

Sincerely,

Robert L. Chamberlain

They followed up with the Dem strategist complaining (surprise surprise) that "How could the President say he respects vets when he allowed those SwiftBoat ads to run? He didn't say anything for a whole week! Then he allowed mocking of veterans at the convention (purple owie bandage)"

For a strategist, she wasn't entirely bright.

I thought the Mocking Veterans charge was over the top too..... I was wondering what was going on...... But when she said Purple hearts drawn onto band-aids....I have to say....gently amusing and clearly not aimed at anyone but Kerry. If she wanted to say...people mocking Kerry---that would have been accurate....and that it was only a couple of people out of thousands does not make it all that big of a deal either.

You think she would be more concerned about the policeman attacked outside the convention |

That woman drives me nuts. Her whole demeanor leads you to believe that she thinks we're all a bunch of idiots. |
