Some maroon is trying to claim that though JK didnt fight any VC like the Adm. states that he could have taken out "structures & assets", what do we have that is definitive on the subject?

I think the best response on the 2 December PH comes from the PH requirements that the wound "required treatment by a medical officer." Kerry's campaign claims the medical records prove that he was treated by Hospitalman First Class J.C. Carreon, not Dr. Louis Letson (which we know not to be true, but let's agree...).
If the wound was treated by enlisted HCF Correon, then it did not "require" treatment by a "medical officer" (i.e., Dr. Letson). Hence it did not qualify, per the Kerry campaign, for a Purple heart. |

The other word to note is "required". It could still be treated by a doctor and still not have been serious enough to require a a doctor. The mediacal records would clear that up. _________________ Proud Wife of a Vietnam Vet |
