I have a copy of Rassman's Purple Heart award order for the 3/13/69 combat. It is in pdf format. Two pages. Rassman is on second page.I will email the file to anyone who can use it and convert it to a format which can be used on this board. Send me a private message and I email you with the attachment.

Rassman was not listed in the after action report as one of the WIA that were taken for medical attention.
This seems fishy ... Did he get a purple heart for getting "blown" into the river ... ?
The report above does not state the nature of the wound.
One more unraveling thread in the Kerry story ? _________________ JJC

This is simply bizarre! What happened to Rassmann that day to deserve a Purple Heart? _________________ "A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can put on his shoes." Mark Twain

Has anyone sent this to Brit Hume or Drudge yet? Or the WaPo for that matter? |

Probably a stupid question on my part, but during a SF mission would they have a separate AAR that describes the events, WIA, etc? Or would the only report be Coastal Div. 11 with Kerry being the OIC/CTE (Commander Task Element)? |

Is it a problem that all these guys' SSNs are posted in this document? |

Could it be that he was not listed in the after action report as being among the wounded be because he was Army and not Navy? |
