I tell you, the thing that I find really odd as an active duty military guy is the rewriting and multiple citations for the same decoration (silver star). I'm sure most civilians would see this as an administrative manner, or just a flub in the hack-chain, but I see it as highly unusual. It seems to me that Kerry was having his history re-written post defacto, and by extremely high brass to boot, after he had become a senator.
Still, getting someone to retool a citation after the award of the decoration? Weird.
As for me personally, I never would vote for Kerry because his and my politics are about 180 degrees out of phase. Still, seeing his surly mug and beetle's coif in front of the Senate committe back in the early 70s, yammering along in his blue blood brogue and spewing enemy loving propaganda, that kind of made me truly dislike this guy.
My dislike for this cat goes a universe farther than even my dislike for Slick Willie, a person I can stomach in small doses. Still wouldn't want to see his signature on my retirement papers, though...
Out...
