Just a poem I wrote after a visit to Arlington...
The Wall
We sent our children
to a beautiful, hostile land
to kill children.
We gave them no chance to win
no chance to fight to win.
The honor for which they fought
and for which they died
we tried to take away
with signs and songs and stupidity
We sent boys, and they sent back men
We sent sons and brothers and daddies
and they never sent them back at all.
We sent those who believed
and those who didn't
and the ones who came back
often forgot which they were when they left.
We gave them our tears--
we gave them a few pages in a history book
and we gave them a wall.
We took their spirits and their innocence;
their blood, their limbs, their pride
and their lives.
They gave their best--
they gave us America
and we gave them our tears
and a wall.

Poetry is such a personal thing - I can see what you're saying, though.
It was a war that the politicians didn't let our military win.
We let the leftists convince us that our precious young men had lost their honor. We can't let that happen, again. We must stand with our brothers and sisters in arms forever.
History forgotten is history destined to be repeated.
