|
|
I just heard on FOX (one of those between-segment-things on O'Reilly) ... I think it was Kiren Chetry ...
"Swift Boat Veterans for Truth say they will stop advertising if John Kerry admits to lying about his war record"
May not be an exact quote, here, I was picking myself off the floor.
Anybody know anything about this?
Another post, maybe?

O'Neill is the consummate lawyer. He knows darned well that Kerry isn't going to do a single thing in that letter, let alone all four. The SBVT ads are not going to stop.
This is the letter in question. _________________

OOPS.
The topic "What kind of apology would work?" seems to be covering this in-depth.
Also, the letter is posted on the root URL: http://www.swiftvets.com
Same chance of that happening as the Colorado Rockies have of making the playoffs (but not "mathematically" out of it) |

Yeah - when you bluff . . . . people can CALL YOUR BLUFF! Kerry can say, I apologize for being such a leader of men, such a courageous and clever commander in the field. There's your apology. Now honor the deal!
You really think John O'Neill is behind that letter? Or could it be someone else who convinced him, and others?
I just don't understand it. They've been doing fine. And now they give the impression of being eager to just pull up stakes and go home. Kerry, seeing that, just says to himself - hold on for another week or so. It's telegraphing your planned retreat.
I would just recommend they revise the letter to include questions about fire on 13 MAR, about the failure to correct DD214, about the multiple citations given Lehman's professed ignorance, and the rest. Make it a long list. And then don't necessarily promise they'll stop running ads. Just state that for the good of the country, Kerry should come clean.
The only other alternative I imagine might be that the 'Swifties' are afraid certain things might come out regarding 13 MAR, as well? But I think all sides should come clean, and just act in a straightforward manner. Other awards were given that day, perhaps based on the presumption of constant and overwhelming hostile fire? I just don't know. I don't understand this letter. |
