I just posted in the Research area a question as to Kerry's status at the time he testified to Congress. It just seems to me that he was still in the Navy or at least the Naval Reserve and that his conduct was not with the best keepings of his rank and postion - just to say it nicely. Seems like somewhere down the line, he managed to get a drop of at least 8 months on his contract that he could have served his country in a different capacity. Somewhere in here seems a story?
