Volunteered for service right out of high school, in June '64. Decision made due to the assasination of President Kennedy, in Nov. '63. Had attended a military school and figured prior training was needed by the nation.
Volunteered for duty in Viet Nam. Sent to Rohn Mountains in Germany, instead. Never figured that one out; might have been due to my age, 17; at the time of enlistment.
training: 31M20 Radio & Carrier Operations.
Unit: 7th Army, 6th Msl. Bn, 562nd. Arty, Air Defense, Communications
Area: Wildeflecken, Rohn Mountains, Deutchland
Education after tour of duty:
Major: Energy Technology, Plant Engineering
Licensed: Electrician, Stationary Engineer
Hobbies: Photography, Motorcycles, Politics, Writing
Music preference: Classical, New Age
