Charlie Rangle - On FoxNews - "I don't know what Senator Kerry means" when asked what John Kerry ment by "I would have done almost everything different in Iraq". If Charlie can't figure out what John Kerry is saying he will do if elected how are we supposed to?

I am no fan of Charlie, but his comments show some concern for Kerrys campaign. This is not going the way that the DNC had envisioned at all. Kerry is slipping in the polls, his defense has been non-exsistent, he has not offered any real explanations other than "they are lying" as he retracts statements, revises versions of events and is forced to admit that maybe things did not happen the way he said.
The Ad on his Senate Testiomny is hurting his credibility and raising serious questions across the electorate!
The Dems are very nervous now

Sam Donaldson just now on Hannity admitted that this election might not be close after all....he compared it to 1980.

Kerry voted to send the troops, but not to fund them.

Then he said he would the same again, knowing what he knows today.

Terrific.

That's what we need in a President. Someone that will send the troops but not fund them.

Great.

When you have one of the most well known liberal commentators sayin that it might be a landslide against Kerry, you know its all over but the crying.

That sounds like a conspiracy theory that the liberals are famous of making.

Rangel is a big Clinton Stooge.

I think "Slick Willy" is setting an underwater mine using a VC Rangel
to further sink the "good ship Kerry"

Don't think for a minute that the democrats aren't regrouping for a counterattack. They have to or go down in defeat.

It aint over 'til it's over.
We need to pour it on harder than ever.

If we get overconfident Kerry will see it and exploit it.

Keep up the siege and built more siege engines.
We've got 2 more months before we can rest.

Overconfidence is the worst thing that we can show right now.
Overconfidence is the surest way toward losing the goal.

Keep up the pressure and be relentless.
We can't go wrong with overkill.

Every veteran who ever went into combat understands the concept of suppressive firepower and firepower superiority.

This is not the time to declare victory. I don't want to get hit with a sucker punch. Kerry is caving and there's two months until the election.

Pressure !!! Pressure !!! Pressure !!!

I don't know.... they're are trying to deny that there is a problem.... we know there is.... but they're coming back fighting... don't think it'll work but they aren't giving up... calling in Clinton's people.... but if the vets across the country unite, and the evangelicals are coming out stronger this election - several million more should be voting... but I know that it'll be a tough road til Nov!

Charlie Rangle (and I do not like this man) is not stupid. He is a political animal That was a welll-timed jab into Kerry because Charlie Rangle does not want Kerry to win. Charlie Rangle is 100% behind Hillary Clinton. Just watch. His remark was not by mistake.

The separation game has begun. Democrats don't want shrapnel in their a** from Kerry's self-inflicted implosion (pardon the analogy, Swiftees). They're positioning for 2008. Amazing.

Billman: > Democrats ... They're positioning for 2008.

According to the Clinton Sabotage Theory*, they always
have been. (* CST is a trademark of the VWRC.)

When Clinton left office in 2000, he retained control of
the DNC. I haven't made an exhaustive study of ex-presidents,
but this strikes me as very unusual (but then so is having
a First Wife with presidential aspirations of her own).

Terry McAuliffe (DNC chair) is a Clinton guy, as is most
of the Committee.

At this time last year, Bush looked unbeatable, and Hillary
decided not to run. They then had a problem. If Hillary was
to run in 2008, they needed to:
a. avoid having a Democratic incumbent to shove aside, and
b. retain control of the DNC.
A Democrat win in 2004 would give the new President
the ability to wrest control of the DNC from the Clintons.

So, that meant they needed to manage the primaries to
produce a Designated Loser. Did they sabotage other
candidates to ensure that Kerry would emerge? Dunno.

Once their DL did emerge, however, they needed to "help"
the DL, and ensure a loss - a narrow loss, but a loss.

The Kerry campaign is infested with Clinton people, 3
more just today. Are they there to help Kerry, or
Clinton? Concerned Democrats need to wonder.

When Kerry became the presumptive candidate early this year,
one of his first initiatives was to fire McAuliffe. He
was slapped down and forced to flip-flop within days.
Just in case anyone was wondering who's in charge here.

The VWRC will tell you that absent the SBVFT and Kerry's
own record/ineptness, the Clintons were probably ready
to leak whatever it took to sink Kerry's boat (think:
FBI files found in Clinton White House). The VWRC will
also tell you that Hillary is funding the SBVFT, so
rely on your own conspiracy theories here Smile

However, it now appears that Kerry is self-destructing
without Clinton help. Unfortunately, the shambles is
shaping up to be a landslide. Ideally, the Clintons
want a messy narrow loss, with lots of recounts,
lawsuits and a 2000-like after-taste of "stolen election".

So today's appointments probably are really intended to
help Kerry, not to win mind you, just to narrow the
loss, to, as you say Billman, position for 2008.
