Now I know why we have never heard them speak before. I had to leave the room. Why did they put them out there? |

Public speaking is not heir strongpoint. I think they wanted to be out there for their father though. While their delivery was lousy their sincerity is not. _________________ U.S. Army 1983-1995, 11C1P/11H2P NBTDT |

They should have spoken before their Mother, and Mrs. Bush before Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Seasoned actors and orators would have trouble if they had to follow a great speech like Arnold's, much less a couple of kids who have never done much public speaking. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

I think you have to look at their appeal to young voters. Imagine how you would feel if you are 18, 19 or 20 and voting for the first time. I think they may have great appeal to first time voters. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

It humanizes thier father, which is a good thing. They werent put out there to give a political speech, they were put out there to give thier father a human face. Look, Bush is a real person, a real father, with real kids. _________________ Dragoro's Realm

While not seasoned public speakers, they really weren't all that bad. I liked the humanization they brought in, especially the quip about their hamster
Arnold gave a fantastic speech, hard act for anyone to follow. Laura's was good too, but the Fox panel seemed to think it was poor. Maybe they expect another Hitlery? _________________ Clark County Conservative |

I think some people have far too high expectations of the girls,
they spoke about their family and themselves. They do not make
many speeches and this was a very tough first one for them.
Give them a break, they are great kids, who wanted to speak for
their dad. Simple as that. Who are we to tell the world they were
awful?
Besides, I like to see Laura and the twins doing what they are
doing because they care about the president, and everyone should
be so lucky to have this family.
I don't think they lost any votes for their dad as I am sure there are
people who enjoyed them, I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. _________________ Swiftvets rock! |

it was plain to see that they were themselves. At first I was a little uncomfortable for them but then their sincerity and good nature turned into a huge plus.
I would much rather watch them than some fictiional Hollywood produced movie about Senator Poser. |

Navy_Navy_Navy was right I think. "They should have spoken before their Mother, and Mrs. Bush before Arnold Schwarzenegger."
They are kids, fresh out of college. Give them a break. Bless their hearts, they got out there for their dad.

Well, neither one of them drooled, which is what I would have probably done if I was put up there. They are pretty normal kids, I'd say. |

Let's face it, someone else did the writing and the scheduling. The girls had to try to pull it off. It would have been a hard one to do. _________________ Skeet |

I would love to have those darling girls as my daughters. Jenna is a little vixen and I just adore her! _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

My son (23 yrs. old) said he's gonna vote for Bush just 'cause his daughters are pretty.
(Just kidding - of course!) |
