Fox News keeps reporting that it was stated (by the Swift Vets) that if Kerry apologizes that the Swift Vets will pull all their ads. I'm just stating what I heard (3 times now) on Fox. But..

Everyone knows that if Kerry apologizes it will be nothing more than a disingenuous, lying, political calculation. It will probably be in front of some small group or a single reporter. It will probably be as close to "not" apologizing as anyone could get. AND THEN, the main street media will run with it like it is a major Mea Culpa, that can then be thrown back in everyone's face night after night.

They have trashed everyone in the Swift Vets and called them liars night after night. Are they then going to apologize for their attack dogs doing that also.

What could Kerry (and his group) possibly say or do to set the record straight. Not much in my opinion. We do know what we would like to hear.. but they will never, ever, say it.

In my opinion, losing the election would be a good enough (and the only) apology needed (for me).

In what format did the Kerry camp say there would be no apology? I haven't seen or read a response from him.

They have indeed Juliet. And yet the Kerry camp will issue an "apology" the nanosecond it helps them more than hurts them. You are right: there can be no giving up until the day John F. Kerry is defeated in November (and later sent packing from the Senate, although that's a battle to come).
