|

living out in the sticks with only an antanea left me watching
PBS coverage for the RNC except for the ABC specials in the
evenings.. so i got to watch Mark Shield's attempts OVER and
OVER as he desperatly tried to get SOMEBODY - ANYBODY to
admit that John Hanoi Kerry was not speaking for himself in
the now infamous '71 winter soldier testimony. he did great
work for the swifties. he BEGGED Gen Franks to see it his way...
but looked stupid and desperate... and many more RNC speakers
were implored by Shields to admit Kerry was only relaying what
he had believed from these "winter soldiers". it was a hoot. and
at the end last night he looked like someone had deflated him..
literaly. he was shrunk up in his seat... bitter and pouting. i
think the swifties should send him a big 'thankyou" for keeping
the swifty discussion going during the PBS RNC coverage. i even
wondered if he wasn't working under cover for the swifties! haa!
it was priceless.... i enjoyed it very much.
God Bless the Swifties... even more..

We ended up in the same PBS situation at my house. Shields was moving around at times like diarhea was about to overcome him.
I also heard him ask a question of T Franks, prefacing it that the 12 of kerry's band all served with him on the boat. (8?)
So, researching for facts doesn't appear to be his strong point. _________________ said Democratic Chairman Terry McAuliffe. "It is inexcusable to mock service and sacrifice."
well, when even the DNC can see it,,,,, then kerry is toast. |

Shields is a twisted little troll, and there's not a lot of people who don't know that. He could be standing in the eye of Hurricane Francis and find some compelling reason why BOOSH is the real criminal, and it's a capital crime to criticize Kerry. And that Brooks, while I sometimes appreciate his columns, the guy looks like he's afraid someone's going to give him a wedgy at any minute. One of the most nervous looking guys I've seen. I want to see them put Rove or Zell Miller in there for the Friday 'recap'. See how long Shields last.
It's why PBS is a such a loss. |

I remember watching Gergen & Shields all the time 14-15 years ago on PBS and thinking that they seemed like reasonable guys. What on earth happened since then? _________________

I got the sense from watching the exchange with General Franks that
Mark Shields felt very frustrated that he would not agree him.
General Franks looked very serious when talking about Kerry crossing the line with what he did coming back from the war.
He spoke very well about the resposibilty Kerry had to those he served with. Shields looked awfully discouraged with the response. |

I thought Gen Franks was great when he told Sean that he didn't like what Kerry did when he came home. He is such a valiant man |

Mark "MAXI" Shields is a "small" thinker. Before I got cable, I too suffered with PBS and all the rest. For more than 25 years, all crap.
FOX ain't perfect but, there as close to NEWS as I'm probably gonna get on the tube.

This poor old man , is left out walking point, with out even a
"magic hat" he does see it comming , the end of the
line for the radical libs of the 60's chance at power
after this they will all be to old, and the greedy little
things they hatched like "ms clinkton" are in it only for
their greedy little "finger licking goodies"
other than that have a nice death, 60's aclu, berkley, pompus
profs etal. from one nut case Texan with the gene code of
Mangus Colorados in my veins, and I love it. Did the igloo white
thing and many many of the dots, did not make it down Kerrys
and LBJ's protected ho/****/men trails, and best of all
the gene thing old Mangus passed on was good enough to pass
on to daughter who is a project lead at Sandia Lab and she
is working on the things that will "go deep into the earth and
blow the hell out of the other off spring of the libs, the
stupid "alki/terroist" etal

Poor Mark Shields. Armed only with Dem Talking points he daily vomits its verbage defending the indefensible in a desperate attempt to make himself relevant to the MSM. In 20+ years neither he nor his employers have ever noticed that he's never been correct about anything. My last viewing of PBS featured his red faced, sputtering defense of Slick Willies definition of 'Is'. I don't have a choice in paying for this kind of crap but I certainly don't have to watch.
Fox is an improvement on the Big 3 and CNN. It has its flaws. O'reilly and Greta stick out.
For sober observation CSPAN is the best. For good or bad its coverage doesn't chase all the latest pseudo-events that pass for news. |
