Kerry's files are being held in several places: St Louis (personnel file - medical records); Suitland, MD (Operations files - Unit Histories); and FT Meade (radio intercept archives).
St Louis is out of the question because this requires SF180 from Kerry.
Suitland and Ft Meade are minutes away from each other.
Anyone interested please PM me.

Suitland and Ft Meade are minutes away from each other. I have contacts for both places and would love to make a trip and get inside the rest of those files.
Anyone interested please PM me.

Chief,
Do we have to make a trip or can we ask and pay someone to do the research and fax us copies? I'll support the effort financially or go if I have to. _________________ On Sale! I have the 4 years experience working in the National and Naval Archives when I was at the POW/MIA office, as well as 12 yrs at the place that doesn't exist at Ft Meade.
The trip may very well be a boone-doggle, but the records are there and they are suppose to be available.
As far as I know, the media has been faxing requests for documents. If you are not specific to what you want, the Archives will do a halfassed job.
All inquiries via PM, please

Here again Chief is where Major Garrett of Fox News can help us. Major works out of the Washinton, D.C. Bureau and is in close proximity to Ft. Meade, Suitland, and also The National Archives in College Park Md. He is working on the swiftboat story for Fox so he would be our best contact person for this. |

Jack,
I agree Major Garrett would be a great help. But he doesn't know the material like we do. He might find some stuff and have a better chance at the access but in the first place he's a reporter. The Naval Archives is located on the same base as the Office of Naval Intelligence --tight security to get past the inner gate. I'll have to check on this some more.
thanks, Jack

It would be amazing to me to see us get anything out of NSA. I can't go, but would be willing to ante up some. In addition, I would be willing to go to Texas to help with analysis. AND GET BBQ. |

Well:
If - this trip were to happen
If - we got the information we were looking
If - it contains what I think it contains
If - the media will report it
I will host one helluva BBQ here in San Antone
{{edited by instigator}} This will be strictly LEGAL and ETHICAL research. Those files available to the public.

I'm just saying I know my way around and just like any other citizen am asking for the information available to the public.

The donation should be Western Union for the amount needed. What is left over from bare essentials, we be donated to the SVBT. This needs to be a strict charity type thing. We don't want the appearance of rich Republicans backing a smear campaign, now do we?

Western Union sounds good to me. Agreed remainder to be
donated to SV. Looking forward to your findings. |

Don't worry; I am definitely not rich. All I want for Thanksgiving is to know Kerry got beat by an inch or by a mile; prefer a mile. |
