My husband is AD in the Navy, and ended up pulling duty (the cell phone variety) a few weeks ago. He called me and said let's do lunch. We met at nice hotel in the oceanfront that has a resturant we like. As we walk in the hotel to the resturant my husband ( in civilian clothes) toted along his big silver briefcase that goes along with his duty cell phone. We were seated outside with a lovely view of the water and I noticed that the man behind the hotel desk when came in was standing in a door way watching us. The man stood there for a while, guess he figured we were not going to blow up anything. I didn't have the heart to tell him when we left that the USN was always on call even when doing lunch at the oceanfront.
