SBVT's have not updated their Appearance schedule or Latest News area for several days. Afraid that they are losing steam and visibility. The Discussion Forum is made up of "preachers preaching to the choir". They (SBVT's) need to let us know what we can do. I have been writing daily to our local newspaper's editorial board. However, local paper is a subsidiary of NYTimes, and they are not about to quote anything negative about Kerry. Our county is 75% Republican, yet never one response in editorial section from a conservative point of view Crying or Very sad

The Mainstream Media does not want to give visibility to the issue of the SBVFT in any positive light. Yes it is hard to get anything positive out there through them. Never give up, do not waiver. If you truely feel that the SBVFT are truthful then support them any way you can. Wether it is finnancial, letters to the editor, a bumper sticker on your car etc.. every little bit helps.
Yes there is a lot of preaching to the choir on this Forum, but many of the members here are doing things outside the Forum to get the message out there and in the public view.

Don't worry. Swiftvets will return with a vengence. This is the wrong news cycle. The hurrifcane, Bill Clinton are all taking center stage. The time will come very soon to start lobbing bombs again. The battle is just heating up because Kerry has just enlisted the likes of Carville and Begala.

This is not a group just preaching to the choir. This forum allows hundreds of us who believe in what is right to come together and provide support, and encouragement to each other and the SBVT leading the effort.

Don't fret. As several others have indicated, the hurricane, the convention and Bill's ticker are taking up most of the headlines. Just not enough room for anything else. More ads are coming. Less than 60 days and counting and we will be hearing from the Swiftees. You can count on that.

1) Check out the Rassman poll today, this race is still very close. Kerry is NOT in collapse and still has a steady 46-47% support. His support is not declining according to the most accurate polls. The president has made some gains in support, 48-49%.
2) The fact we have deep disdain for Kerry and see him for the phony he is doesn't effect the large group out there that don't care about Kerry, they just want Bush out.
3)MSM and Kerry's new henchmen will start a day in day out drum beat on Bush, the dui, the awol issue, 9 marines killed, et al. All of these alone will not have tremendous effect, but together they start to turn perception on Bush. Has everyone forgotten the first part of the year when the media drove Bushes approval rating to the low 40's by turning the country against the Iraq war and plastering the prison scandle in the newspapers every day ? It completely negated the growing economic news.
4)The infomercial on Kerry last night on MSNBC will be the start of an all out media blitz remaking Kerry as a visionary leader beginning in his 71 testimony. He will continue pounding Bush on the lost jobs and health care.
5) They also will attempt to take VNAM completely out of the picture. It will all be the media pounding bush on the war and american deaths, when the toll reaches 1000, we will see coverage equal to the prison scandle. I predict Kerry will then promise to have us out of Iraq within 6 mos of the elections with Nato forces replacing us. Its the only way he can placate his split base.
6)I don't see the Kerry medals flap surviving anywhere except the Internet , the MSM will concentrate on driving down Bush, not problems with Kerry. Thats why Kerry never responded directly to SBVFT, and went right after Bush blaming him for the ads.

The best thing we can do is donate to keep the ads running. They are effective and the SBVFT are honorable men who are speaking for those of us who cannot be heard. Long arguments on military reports, military strategy, etc. are just us preaching to the choir. We can still influence our fellow vets and friends on a vote by vote basis. Lets stay optimistic but realistic.

I don't believe the Rasmussen poll. It seems to me to be historically tilted to Kerry. I'll wait for Gallup.

Think again - compare the number of viewers compared to the number of members. I assure you that the SwifVet's forums are being continuously monitered by the Mainstream Media and the liberal left.

Furthermore, I think a lot of our viewers are made up of those "undecideds" that are trying to catch up with a piece of American History that will be helpful in making their decision.

Remember, because of the entertainment industry and the documentaries funded by liberals that has repeatedly portrayed Vietnam War veterans as "War Criminals" for the past 35 years, they are quite alerted by prospects that they may have possibly been misled via liberal propaganda.
