Good ol' Bagdad Ted was just on fox and here is a little clip that struck me to be funny as hell.
Tad said that when you tell lies, the truth will always find you.
Could not help thinking that they are really digging that hole deeper for themselves. Wonder when they will hit China? |

Davine said of the SwiftVets, they are nothing but "lies and distortions". A "pack of lies", and "with a web of connections to the Bush campaign." Geez, at least get some new talking points, they were using this crap a month ago. I would absolutely LOVE for a journalist to ask them after he says "full of lies" - What exactly are these lies the SwiftVets told? Davine would simply just sit there, he could not give any rational response. Perhaps, he would say, the Navy Records prove it...But now there are serious questions about the records themselves. If a reporter would just simply ask the question - What are all these lies you are speaking of? - then Davine would look like a fool up there. |

I didn't see it so just an off hand observation.
When you vehemently yell "lies all lies"
Me thinks thou doest protest too much

Ah the theatric nature of this all ... |

The problem is and will be that the reporters don't take the time to do their homework, check facts and have an understanding of the subject matter. Most of them, I'd hazard to say, have never been in the military, don't comprehend the implications of what the Swiftees are saying, and probably couldn't care less. More often than not, producers, not the host of the program, come up with questions for mouthpieces like Devine. The host, not knowing the subject matter, can't follow up with relevant questions because it would actually take some work! |
