I was in High School during this period of time. As I read through this my blood boils. To each of you who served you have my gratitude.

I couldn't agree more with the last 4 lines of the article excerpted below:

Its now time for the ‘70s radical turned politician to face his past and those he, in my opinion, wronged with his words and activities. Not only here, but in Vietnam.

He’s now talking about “keeping faith” with those in the military? Excuse me if I’m more than a little leery

As one vet is quoted as saying, “defeating John Kerry would be the parade we never got.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Would be a good start. I for one would like to see a parade on Veteran's Day in November. It is long overdue.

Somebody said on www.lucianne.com to be sure to tell Kerry that Veteran's Day comes on November 2nd this year. Wish I had said that.

I got my undergraduate degree in 1972 and was aware of Jane
Fonda, Kent State, and other aspects of the "Peace" movement,
but it took the SBVT to show me the prominent role JK played
in that era. I would NEVER have voted for him anyway, but I
would not have had the urgency to share this information with
as many people as possible. We cannot allow him to do to another
war what he did to the war in Vietnam. America will never be able
to repay the debt we owe to this brave group of Swift Boat veterans.

Semper Fi!

John Kerry's poisonous tentacles spread across the Pacific to Australia. Our returning 'nam vets were also vilified, spat on, demeaned and degraded on their return.

There was some redress 20 years later when 'thank you' marches were held all around the country. It's never too late to say 'thank you'. Those marches lifted the Vietnam Vets up were they belong, on the twin pedestals of gratitude and respect.

I remember that day 20 yrs ago.... (I'd forgotten about it)

I don't think it was enough ! They sure deserve more than that !

ok, then the Vietnam Vets get a Victory day celebration when Kerry is

defeated!

I agree, it was not enough! But then how is an enduring debt ever repaid?

Enough or not, the Vets appreciated it - they marched in their thousands.

What we can do now is step up to the plate and fight THIS fight in their honour.
