I CANNOT figure out how this gets past the media:

(1) Bush went into the reserves in May 1968. Exclamation
(2) Barnes claims he was "pressured" to get him in as Lieutenant Governor Question
(3) Barnes was Lieutenant Governor of Texas beginning in 1969. Exclamation

http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ref/abouttx/ltgov.html
(NOTEWORTHY: he is one of only two with no further links)

This simple fact even seems to escape the conservative talking heads I'm listening to.

In the CBS-News article

"Barnes, then the 29-year-old speaker of the Texas House, claims he was contacted by the late oilman Sid Adger, a friend to both Barnes and then-Congressman George Bush. "

Barnes is a slimeball with no credibility...only the Communist Broadcasting System would give him time.

If Reporting For Duty thinks reviving the Bush National Guard story- which NOBODY cares about- was a good idear, then he's delusional.

The only thing it can possibly do is pump more life into the SBVFT story, and put another spotlight or two on Reporting For Duty's anti-war activities.

How is this discussion possibly about SBVFT or Cambodia?
This discussion ought to be in the Geedunk.
SBVFT if about debunking Kerry.

Cambodia characteristics.
Barnes is publicly visible as a Kerry campaign figure.

My thinking is that linking the obvious time discrepancies for Kerry's "Christmas in Cambodia" and the obvious time discrepancies for Barnes' timeline (video link by efusaekay) indicate the veracity of Kerry campaign remarks, and how much salt the public needs with anything the campaign says.

From www.drudgereport.com

'60 Minutes' Documents on Bush Might Be Fake /// 32-year-old documents produced Wednesday by CBSNEWS 60 MINS on Bush's guard service may have been forged using a current word processing program // typed using a proportional font, not common at that time, and they used a superscript font feature found in today's Microsoft Word program, Internet reports claim... Barnes "might?" be a little more credible if he had bared his chest on all his shenaningans. Not just a selected one. Did he also share the names of ALL the others he "helped". Think not. Was that question even brought up to him?
