The dem machine isn't stupid.
I fear they might be saving a big Kerry apology to Vets for October just so they can say "see what a great man JFK is".
In the eyes of some swing voters, it certainly would make the SBVT ads that followed such an apology seem petty.
Kerry flip flops so much that I can't believe that his actions in the 70's would be the only thing he remains steadfast on.
Is it a winning strategy? I don't think so, but it could work.
How should the SBVT handle such an occurence? |

to me (as a non-vet) it would seem hollow and insincere this close to the election. _________________ A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Sometimes an apology is not enough. Now I know the official stance here..he must begin with an apology..but I would think that it has to go further than that..IT is actions that matter, as well as words.
..some half baked, "I'm sorry for offending you"..you know darn well that it would not be sincere..and just plain desperation. This man has gone too far for way too long. As stated..too little too late..
However, a great step..sign that 180..then we will see..JMO.
Although this is true, I support Bush and will for re-election..this issue is not about that, it is about the fraud, the liar, Kerry and what he has done to our military..

I don't know any veterans who care about any apology from John Kerry. Most of the people I know understand that this empty suit is so shallow that an apology would be a meaningless attempt at manipulation.
He stood by (and even reinforced) his 1970's activities as late as ten days ago.
It's too late.
Rather than an apology, I'd prefer a genuine vindication in the form of a complete and total public refutation of John Kerry's laundry list of lies.
Send your message to whoever will hear - NEVER AGAIN will we allow the press and other leftists to convince us that our Armed Forces are dishonorable in their assigned missions. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

It's way too late. I would love to see the public refutation but what I would really love to see is the prosecution and removal of all received military medals and honorable discharge, with a conviction of treason instead.
I am amazed that people keep saying it was 30 years ago..... it may have been, what happened was Kerry wasn't appropriately charged 30 years ago and justice is crying to be served. _________________ If Kerry is the answer.... It must have been a STUPID question. |

It's too late for Kerry to apologize even if he wanted to. If he does, at this late stage, it will appear artificial and political after all his attacks against Bush and the SBVT in the first place. _________________ Watch Kerry Implode Because Of Truth!!

As I posted here back in Aug. ? would he use Billy Graham
Cry on national TV with Babs walksfunny, Yes back in Aug.
possible, he would try, (not even God would have spent much
time) but he has it in him.
Now it is Sept. , his wife and kids know he has lied to us , them
God, Himself, and he is "not well in the head" so as there
"is no real danger, you know "like out in the bush ect" he
will go down the river of no return, and blame MSM and or the
527's or "covert missions" into his head by the CIA telling him
to act "nuts for everyone to see"
other than that have a nice day John Kerry _________________ the strange mr aj |

The man (and I use that word very loosely) does not have the constitution to offer an apology. There is just something inside him that will not allow it. He believes he can do no wrong. One very minor example is the wipeout on the ski slope in Idaho. Not his fault, the SS agent got in the way. We need to be very, very afraid if this person ever is elected to the most powerful position on earth. |

There is a hint that he might apologize in this artical
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A3587-2004Sep7.html
You have to look real hard to find it but here it is
"Aides say Kerry may soon apologize for some of his most heated comments during the Vietnam War protests of the early 1970s, a move that would rekindle the debate for a few more days." _________________ 6 Year Navy |
