Ask Martin Sheen. He wasn't a soldier, but he played one in the movie. That makes him an expert on the Vietnam War. He isn't president, but he plays one on tv. That makes him an expert on domestic an foreign policy.

Oh, the sking thing was with a PBR (Patrol Boat River) not a PCF (Patrol Craft Fast). There's a BIG difference.

Yeah, but with a pair of Jimmy 12-71s, a PCF sure coulda pulled a hellofa lot of skiers!

And you venerable Swifties did NOT have a lock on ski boats in Nam...While in Cam Ranh Bay in '70 our Bn jack of all trades (dunno if he signed in here or not, he will eventually) took a bunch of us from the 22nd RepoDepo up a nearby hill to a lake where he kept the Bn ski boat. That 30HP Johnson left over from R&R days could get everyone up but the 1st Lt. who was just a little too big and decided to try a single ski! The rest of us stayed on top of the water!

Go to Joe Muharsky's website. You can see a photo of someone skiing behind a Swift Boat.

It's difficult to read, but look at the comment/signature on the photo.
