I found a copy of 'Unfit for Command' at Barnes&Noble today . . . it appears to have been the only copy on the shelves there. Plus, I found it kind of haphazardly left in the bargain books section, like someone had changed their mind.
At checkout I was being rung up by a manager, and her reaction on getting to the book while scanning in the stack I had was to go "Wow!" The way she described it, demand for the book far outstripped its availability . . . and that I found one at all was nothing less than a miracle. She was sure that the store had been out of stock on them.
Just thought I would share this little story here . . . the Swift Vets are definitely having an impact _________________ This Space For Rent |

I read an article in the Christian Science Monitor earlier this week regarding the issue of unavailability of the book in the major book stores. The article stated that Barnes and Noble have been hammered with thousands of ticked off customers. They are hearing from all of us.

I just heard that the B&N President is a big Clinton supports and has let Clinton fly the private B&N jet to signing appearance - one of which JUST happened to be in the same city and at the same time as the DNC. |
