I am trying to find out if anyone served with my father, LCDR Gordon F. Gilbert Jr. (deceased) He is pictured lower left corner with the officers from Coastal Division 11. Please reply, I am trying to see also if anyone would have pictures with him that they are willing to share. Thank you very much! _________________ Peace - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. I have looked up and found that my father was a Lt. at the time, listed on the medals list from Coastal Division 11 at Lt. Gilbert, he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star in 1969. I know that one of you will remember and be able to help me find out more about my father. He died before I was 16, in 1976, long before he was willing to talk about his experience in Vietnam with his children. I have a very short tape, from an old super 8 movie we tried to save that shows the boat and some of the crew on it, I would love to be able to find out who his shipmates were as they may want to see a copy of this also. Thanks to any and all that can help. Keep up the great work, I am sharing the link to this site with all of my friends and co-workers in hopes that they will also. _________________ Peace - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. My father was listed on PCF 6 in An Thoi at the end of 68. His crew was David Hoover, Clyde Pilgrim, Mark Lilenthal, Chester Bishop and Richard Smith. If anyone knows how to contact some of these crew members ( I was given the info for David Hoover) or can let them know that I am trying to reach them I would really appreciate it. I would like to let them know that I can copy the video and send out if they would like and also would like to see if any have pictures or stories about my dad. Thanks again to all of you, Pam |
