My wife and I have the habit of carbon copying (what an archaic phrase) each other when we send out email of mutual interest. She sent this message to a female friend of ours who was questioning why I had been sending so many emails to her husband. Thanks for the thumbs- up, Honey
Sam has not been a political activist since his college days, but this Swiftboat dealie really has his blood boiling; it’s a tite group, those vets. I can only understand intellectually how 6 mo in a fox hole can bond comrades for life; even at such a formidable age (20 yr olds, just experiencing the emerging power of manhood) but watch at any Memorial Day/Veterans Day service/parade/etc and there is a loyalty among men who haven’t served for several decades that somehow I find comforting. It’s nice to know that if I’m ever in trouble, yelling “Semper Fi” will pull lots of protective ‘big brothers’ out of the woodwork instantly. I really honor the men who stood for us, militarily. _________________ Deportè Monsieur Kerrè |

Good luck with Ivan. News tonight looks like it might miss you and hit the panhandle. |

Yep. We can breathe. Breathe and pray for whoever it does hit.

Nothing against my brothers and sisters in South Florida but as someone who lives in the Panhandle I'd just as soon Ivan the Terrible went somewhere else.
I work at a state correctional facility. I am almost certainly going to be required to ride the storm out at the facility because they want "key" people on hand. _________________ Served with US Army in Americal Division 2/69 to 9/70. |

We just moved from Cape Coral back home to Salem, Oregon. Our prayers are with all of you. _________________ I was going to become an anarchist, but they had too many rules. |

Looks like Ivan didn't have our name on 'im... not pleased that folk inna panhandle region are likely to get whacked, but we in mid-state are all but "nackered" by now. I swear if I found th' yutz who signed us up for this "Hurricane of the Week" membership, I'd put a hurt on 'im!

Total Agreement.
P.S.: LimaCharley; Your "ticket" for '08 suits me just fine! How do I sign up for the campaign? _________________ Dr E--

There is a Draft Condi website at www.rice2008.com. I sent my vote in to include Ann Coulter as Vice-President. _________________ I was going to become an anarchist, but they had too many rules. |
