In another thread a fellow vet encouraged people to be active in their party. There is also a need for honest capable election officials everywhere. One even gets paid!! Not much, but beats jury pay.
Anyway, if you live in a battleground state or in an area where there are problems with voter fraud, etc., consider getting involved in this. The first time I did this was a year ago when we recalled Grey Davis. |

Tonight, I voted in the Washington Primary under our new voting rules. Confusing, but that's another story. While there, an elderly gentleman was verifying voters before they received their ballot. He couldn't find my name on the roster, anywhere. Even after I told him to turn the page and get to the Wat's instead of Walker, he was still confused and had a hard time. Finally, the lady next to him came over and turned the page and showed him my name.
I won't say anything against this man, he was making an honest effort. But, what is the possibility that had the lady not looked over and turned the page for him, my privilege could have been denied?
I would volunteer and still may, if my employer will cooperate. Once retired, if I ever make it, I intend to be very active in elections. _________________ Clark County Conservative |
