I was watching TV recently when I saw a police and fire union endorse Mr. Kerry for president. I wish the "brothers in blue" were on duty with me at 3rd and Constitution Ave NW in April 1971 when he marched towards the US Capitol under the flag of the NVA. His VVAW were vocal towards us who were in uniform working chanting slogans of the day, the usual antiwar rhetoric. I returned from Vietnam 10/67 and joined the DC police. Those who endorsed him forgot all about the "brotherhood" and watching your back. I believe Mr.Kerry will treat the uniform public safety people the way he treated us, when he gets what he needs from you you will be demonized and forgotten. I wouldn't endorse this man for dog catcher. |

Hey, xdccop,
You might be glad to know that the FOP (largest police association) has endorsed the President.
The rank and file of the IAFF has exploded over their union's endorsement of Kerry and the rank and file of police organizations who have endorsed Kerry are similarly up in arms and furious.
You're not alone.
I don't remember Kerry marching under the VC flag, but I sure as hell have heard from a lot of people who do.
I know there must be pictures out there somewhere that show Kerry with the VC flags in the background, but the closest I've found are separate photos of the same event - Kerry present in one, an abundance of VC flags in the other.
Ho Chi Minh was just another George Washington, remember? _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
