Remember that Dan Rather is a big fan of the Dixie Chicks. He did an in depth interview with them ( prior to the comment against Bush while they were in Europe). That in itself doesn't prove he agreed with them, but this latest stand he's taking intrying to prove Bush a liar, certainly puts him in the same company of them ! Maybe we should sing a parody to the song Hang down your head Tom Dooley to Dan Rather....
