The question is:
How many electoral votes do you guys think Kerry would get if he did not have California in his pocket.
10? 20, 100?
By the time the Swifties are done with Kerry, America will be also. |

I've been watching that website since the end of August and I can tell you it really confuses me. It has swung from Bush being up by more than ten electoral votes to his behind behind by that many in one day.
I don't understand how they get their numbers but the volatility of their predictions has made me very leary of putting to much faith (and hope) in what they say. |

Hammer time.
I don't even want 1 Electoral Vote for Kerry.
I'm in NJ and I intend to convince enough voters to get this a
state on the right side.

Hmmm, the last NM poll I saw was dead even. Gore only won by 366 votes and that was because they miraculously 'found' some missing absentee ballots election night. _________________ "All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...they can't get away this time."

I'm also in New Jersey and I know what you mean. Hasn't our state learned anything? My parents and boyfriend have never voted before and all are registered and voting for G.W.B. The second best thing to a GWB victory would be a GWB win in New Jersey. Would make a lot of my coworkers pretty upset. |

When you see New York as "weak Kerry" there is a landsliding brewing and even CA won't hold for him. Let's make it happen.

The Dems Ive been talking with are not true Kerry supporters, and some are wavering

That's right. Kerry should be in jail for treason....not running for President. He is a disgrace to this country.
If not jail, then confined to france for life. That should be punishment enough! _________________ "And no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often, than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry"

that must have been that stack of votes the republicans were hiding !
has anyone heard anymore about the 10,000 double registered voters?
they were NY/FL voters.... registered in both places.... ???? _________________ Stevie

I heard it was 46,000 and they were 6 to 1 registered as democrats. _________________ Deborah

Stevie is right. 366 more for Gore in 2000 and serious questions about vote counting in Dona Ana County. NM is mostly dems, but also mostly Catholic. The USCB (United States Conference of Bishops) has addressed the issue of pro-choice Catholics presenting themselves for communion, gently referring to Kerry and Daschle. This election cycle has been unusual in that the Catholic vote majority is now with Bush, although not overwhelming so. _________________ Sailors in family WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, 1st gulf war and many peacetime. |

They update states according to the most recent polls. Thing is, there are many different polling organizations. Since they use the most recent, no matter who conducted ther poll, some of the battleground states go back and forth quite a bit.
However, the gradual trend is that Kerry is losing more and more ground. He was leading in PA and OH a cpl months ago, but now is trailing in both states. Recently, he is also starting to lose WI, and I think MO started trending Bush recently also. The newest news is that supposed "safe" states for Kerry are now getting close, like NJ and Minnesota.
No one is saying that the site should be taken as Gospel, they merely give you the latest poll numbers. I'd love to see Kerry lose even by these current numbers. It is a solid defeat, but I really want to see a landslide. I want more "blue" states to really slap him in the face. 1 or 2 of the left coast states would be so sweet! _________________ ===============

I live in liberal MN which was the only state Reagan did not carry in 1984 and guess what? Polls are trending toward Bush here. It's almost unbelievable in this state, but Bush could take Minnesota. _________________ The American dream is not that every man must be level with every other man. Things may be looking up but there is still 46 days to go to election day. Anything can happen between now and then. Who knows what Kerry Campaign and Dems may come up with in the final weeks. They are willing to do anything to win. Hopefully the new ads will have the same affect the 1st ones did. If MSM objects to current ad it can only help SBVT since they would have to show it to point out what they object to.
