Quote: | Mr. Kerry, time to step aside and let someone else lead. Being a senator is not simply showing up for the votes you deem worthy of your vote. In fact, it's not your vote. That vote belongs to the people you "represent" and you are tossing it away like you did those medals that weren't yours either. |
Current tally since 5/16/2003:
Voted: 60 times
Did not vote: 335 times.
Since March 13 this year, there have been 58 senate votes. Mr. Kerry showed up and voted for 2. For those without a calculator, Mr. Kerry has not graced the senate with his presence for 97% of the votes; which is even worse than his record since 5/16/2003, which is 85% of the votes missed.
If George Bush concentrated on campaigning as much as Kerry does, I'm sure we'd hear a very loud cry from the left that he has abandoned his post... what about a senator who never shows up to work?
