I compiled the following list of available documents which I have a copy of. They are available on the net but very hard to find since most sites are liberal and the records have been distorted or left out entirely. Please use this to refute any suggestion that he has stonewalled the process!

After completing the F102 all weather interceptor school in November 1969, he came in this unit as a highly qualified fighter interceptor pilot. Lr. Bush possesses sound judgment and is mature beyond his age and experience level. During the last weapons firing deployment, he delivered both primary abd secondary weapons from the F102. Lt Bush performed in an outstanding manner, following the test project requirements set forth. He also participated in a practice element deployment during annual field training. he was easily able to handle intercepts with varying ? and tactics selections. He continually flies intercept missions with the unit to increase his proficiency even further. Lt Bush is a natural leader but he is also a good follower of military discipline. Lt Bush has outstanding growth potential and should be promoted well ahead of his contemporaries."

Ronald Reagan - 1937 Reagan enlisted in the Army Reserve as a Private but was soon promoted to 2nd Lieutenant in the Officers Reserve Corps of the Cavalry.
1942
The Army Air Force called Reagan to active duty and assigned Lieutenant Reagan to the 1st Motion Picture Unit in Culver City, California, where he made over 400 training films. Served as Army Captain designated initially by Gen. Hap Arnold to make air force training films and documentaries, train camera crews to accompany our planes on combat missions.

The Army discharged Captain Reagan.

Officer in Charge of the South Pacific Combat Air Transport Command at Guadalcanal in the Solomons and later at Green Island. His unit prepared manifests and flight plans for C-47 operations and supervised the loading and unloading of the cargo aircraft. For this service he received a Letter of Commendation from the Commander South Pacific Area and South Pacific Force for "meritorious and efficient performance of duty as Officer in Charge of the South Pacific Combat Air Transport Command... _From August through December of 1944, Nixon was assigned to Fleet Air Wing EIGHT. From December through March 1945, he served at the Bureau of Aeronautics, Navy Department, Washington, D.C. In March, his next assignment was as the Bureau of Aeronautics Contracting Officer for Terminations in the Office of the Bureau of Aeronautics General Representative, Eastern District, headquartered in New York City. In that capacity he had temporary additional duty at various places, including Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Buffalo, New York City, and East Hartford, Connecticut. When he was released from active duty on 10 March 1946. He was promoted to Commander in the Naval Reserve on 1 June 1953.


While on active duty besides the Letter of Commendation, Nixon earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He is entitled to two engagement stars on the Asiatic- Pacific Campaign Medal for supporting air action in the Treasury- Bougainville operations from 27 October to 15 December 1943 and for consolidation of the northern Solomons from 15 December 1943 to 22 July 1944. Nixon transferred to the Retired Reserve of the Naval Reserve on 1 June 1966.___

Harry Truman (from Web page) - From 1905 to 1911, Truman served in the Missouri National Guard. When the United States entered World War I in 1917, he helped organize the 2nd Regiment of Missouri Field Artillery, which was quickly called into Federal service as the 129th Field Artillery and sent to France. Truman was promoted to Captain and given command of the regiment's Battery D. He and his unit saw action in the Vosges, Saint Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne campaigns. Truman joined the reserves after the war, rising eventually to the rank of colonel. He sought to return to active duty at the outbreak of World War II, but Army Chief of Staff General George C. Marshall declined his offer to serve.

I am a non military type person.

I do not really understand the part above.

I can not follow the time line too well. When did he join the Armed Forces, where and when was his basic training, other training and etc.

I do not exactly understand the all short hand stuff such as NPRC and etc.

I suggest a sticky or something close to it with an explantion of the various terms and etc. Anything would help a lot for me and others.

I am happy to see all the good information posted here, just have a bit of a time understanding some of it.
