That avid hunter...John "Benedict Arnold" Kerry went goose hunting this morning.
It is the first time he was within hearing of gunfire and didn't get a purple heart.
Waiting for after action report, though.

I may have missed something (I admit I haven't analyzed the records as thoroughly as the Swiftees are known to do), but I think I've seen an anomoly.
As they were walking back one of the reporters is heard to shout something like "Get one?" To which Kerry answered "Everyone got one." It was obvious from the pictures that Kerry was not carrying a goose; someone said that one of the other hunters was carrying his. But after review of the pictures, I saw that every hunter except Kerry was carrying one goose, i.e., there was one less goose than hunters.
So... In accordance with Kerry's policy of not deciding until he knows the outcome (expoused on the Diane Sawyer interview), I figure he has not decided yet whether to claim a Purple Heart, or a Goose Medal (for not killing a goose). Stay tuned - maybe he can see a way to claim 'em both by not killing a goose, and by getting injured for pinching his finger in the breech when he ejected the shell. |

Kerry probably got a whiff of the goose and said:

Wha'daya mean John "Benedict Arnold" Kerry.
Kerry gives Benedict Arnold a bad name by comparison.
Benedict Arnold was a genuine hero before he became a traitor. |

He looks pretty clean for someone who "gows craling around on his belly in the brush" when he goes hunting. _________________ No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.....Mark Twain |
