The Kerry people need to vote early in non-battleground states so they can then travel to the battleground states and vote again, and again, and again....

Terezza said it --- vote early and often...

How long has it been since you've been here? I moved over here from Big Spring about 20 years ago. They have really changed in the last ten years. Midland has added even more, but nearly all their's is on the north loop.

Well, there's more than one rabbit now. The new ones are slightly smaller, and painted creatively. They are scattered around town.

I think things are good. I'm not in the oil business, but they are really cranking right now. The oil show is going on, and there is a good bit of international representatives. The US Commerce dept came to it for the first time, and has the ability to advise what can be exported, shipped and arrange trade deals.

I don't know how long it's been you you were last here, but there has been quite a bit of new construction for businesses, and houses.
There are new big motels going up on Parkway, because they are planning for the north-south interstate to go through there.

Feel free to pm me if you need something done here.

I've been gone almost 7 years... I miss it.. but been here long enough that I think I would have culture shock if I go back to the states (yeah.. even 'slodeatha')... Haven't been back since I came here.. been too busy. Almost miss being there.

I remember the talk about the interstate.. I was a deputy back then.. and a major discussion was going on within the law enforcement about the new interstate being used for a main distribution point for drugs coming up from Mexico... I didn't like the idea..

Oh, and thanks for your offer Smile

Sorry it took so long to reply Embarassed

No prob, the mechanics of this board really don't lend themselves to knowing when you have something "to you" like some other boards.

Since you were out in the county a lot, here's something for you , that you won't beleive. You know our annual rainfall is about 11 inches. Well we got over a third of our annual in about a week, and most of that in two days.
Big parts of west O was declared disaster areas from flooding.
That means trailer houses 2 feet off the ground with 2 more feet of water in them. Things are strange in Odland. Smile

Flooding in Odessa? Last time I remember something similar was around 1980 or so... when we had the softball sized hail killing livestock.. and cars.. and houses...

I hope everything is ok over there... OF course ,we both know, West Texas needs rain.... in moderation Confused

<shuddering> .... just heard a 'sKerry' chant on the radio Evil or Very Mad
need to get to bed... midnight here.... still trying to keep up with all of the posts rolling in....
less than a week... I imagine there are MANY people losing sleep within the next few days.....

<fingers crossed>
