Kerry retreating from Colorado:

Aside from Florida and Ohio and Hew Hampshire, Kerry is not competitive in any 2000 Red state, while Bush remains competitive in HI, NJ, IA, WI, MN, PA and MI. |

Every day the BotoxKing is pulling out of a new state. Even Hitler said that victory was at hand right before Berlin fell.
This news is much more worth than any daily pollscore. _________________ ---Prince Lazar---

There is still the issue of proportional voting on the Colorado ballot. This is where it would not be "winner takes all" but rather the electoral votes would be proportioned out.
Let's hope that ballot issue goes down in defeat!

I wonder if the people of Colorado realize just how much this could affect their influence on future elections.
It could mean that their electoral impact goes down to as low as ONE electoral vote - what candidate is going to work as hard for one vote as s/he does for NINE?
It's part of the Kerry strategy to have Kerry voters vote FOR the amendment if Bush appears to be winning - can people see past the short-term impact to the long-term results? _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

If Bush wins Colorado, the proportional vote initiative will probably lose. If Kerry were to win Colorado, the initiative would certainly win.
Bush's worse case scenario in Colorado is to win 4 EVs, probably 9. Kerry's best case scenario is to win 5 -- but will probably get 0. _________________ Whose side is John Kerry really on? Take this quiz and decide for yourself.

Isn't this contrary to the Constitution? |

I think we're going to see a lot of agitating for proportional voting after the election. There will also be moves to eliminate the Electoral College. The libs will be angling for new ways to grab power, because it's going to be obvious they can't win any big elections with their ideology.
Whatever you hear bandied about, be prepared to detect the advantage it gives liberals, and then fight it tooth and nail. |
