It's still raised in DC and NJ from the threats to buildings, I think. If this is legit they will raise it nationwide. If this is indeed an American...well the anger inside me is the same as it is for all traitors |

Watching Dayside with Linda Vester and Bret Baer broke into the program saying that the CIA and NSA has had this tape for about a day. ABC was given the tape by an al-queda representative in Pakistan. ABC has held on to the tape so the CIA could analyze it. It reportedly has an american al-queda name Perlman saying that they are ready to strike with an attack larger than 9/11. This Perlman has been wanted since his name surfaced last summer. The tape is 1 hour long. Linda is waiting for Bret Baer to return with additional information. He had only been given the tape info about 1/2 hour before. This is very fresh news. I guess this is Kerry's "nuisance" warning. This could reshape the electorate very quickly. Let's hope Kerry said something very stupid about this. He seems to jump on anything now for a soundbite. This is the time for all of us to back our CinC during these times! _________________ Gary Armitstead

Don't kid yourself -- the kerry koolaid drinkers think that the United States deserved to be attacked because we did something wrong and that all we need to do is give the terrorists what they want --- these koolaid drinkers do not understand what these terrorists want is every Jew, Christian, Buddist, Hindu, (non-Muslim) dead and the world taken back to about 600 A.D. |

Good point. We need to take a look "underground" if you get my drift. _________________

Yep - and 1/2 of America doesn't seem to appreciate that about the current adminstration. Maybe they should 'leak' some reports showing how they have thwarted many. And they have. |

And let's not forget...if this American terrorist traitor was to succeed in his threatened attack, and was to be subsequently captured, Kerry would still oppose the death penalty for this monster! How is that for being tough on terrorism!?! |

There are large sections of western Pakistan that are only nominaly under Pakistani government control - if that. I suspect that's where the tape originated.
If I remember correctly, Daniel Perl was kidnapped in Karachi; al Qaeda also made at least one attempt on Musharraf's life near Islamabad. This tells me AQ apparently has at least some ability to act anywhere within Pakistan if they want. I don't think getting a tape to someone in an area under Pakistani government control would stress them much. _________________ "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse."

One of seven suspected terror suspects named by the FBI on Wednesday has spent time in Tucson.
Yahiye Adam Gadahn grew up in Riverside County, California. But a search on the Internet reveals he also worked in Tucson as a student reporter for a TV news magazine called "EcoNews."
Gadahn helped cover a story on a garbage project at the University of Arizona, but he never attended college.
The FBI says Gadhan did attend Al-Qaida training camps. He and six other suspects may be plotting an attack on the U.S. sometime this summer, according to Attorney General John Ashcroft.
Gadahn was raised in a Christian home but converted to Islam as a teenager. His story of his conversion is on numerous Internet websites. In part, it reads: "Having been around Muslims in my formative years, I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and televangelists paint them to be."
However, Gadahn's beliefs became radical, according to a Muslim cleric who knew him. He was expelled from a mosque in Orange County, California after attacking an employee there.
His family says they last heard from him five years ago, when he was working in Pakistan as a writer and expecting a child.
"My nephew is a very loving, caring young man," says Nancy Pearlman, Gadahn's aunt. "I grew up seeing him regularly and he is a very sweet person. We certainly don't believe in any kind of terrorism, so I'm really shocked by the news."
Gadahn's brother Omar was also shocked, saying the person he knew wasn't radical. "He's a cool brother. He left when I was eight. I didn't really know him that well. He was a lot older than me." |
