There are lots of clues Hussein had links to Al Qaeda also, and the 9/11 attacks. See this site, it has the best comprehensive sum up of this proof. I've posted it before on here, but it don't hurt to post it again.

I had to turn off the TV this evening because this CIA report of no WMDs was all they were talking about. I can just imagine what Kerry is going to do with that tomorrow night. Rolling Eyes The timing of much of this "official" information dismays me. Paul Bremer just had to give his "opinion" on troop numbers right before the VP Debate and now the CIA report on no WMDs is released today? Just about the time I think we are making headway I feel as if we are being deliberatley smacked back down. I certainly hope that all of you are correct in your thoughts that Cheney has some good news about these WMDs. Personally I am discouraged at all of it seeming to favor Hanoi John. Sad

In truth, the CIA is not a group of fire-breating rightwing nut looking to overturn every government not friendly to us. On the contrary, many of them, especially in the leadership, are effete, snobbish jerks in the mold of JFnKerry. I work with a lot of CIA people, albeit at a lower level - the good ones leave, the other ones who rise up take on airs. The recent book, "Imperial Hubris", by Anonymous, was written by a supposed Middle Eastern analyst from CIA, and if you read this book (I have it and am going through it), it is full of the same liberal tripe - understanding root causes of terrorism, giving in to Bin Ladin by abandoning Israel, in effect, coming back home with our tails between our legs and rolling over just to wait for the next attack. In other words, appeasers, surrender-monkeys, etc. So, this does not surprise me in the least.

did anyone on here hear on the news about 4-6 wks ago that a Iraqi scientist said that just before we invaded them, the border guards were pulled off the Syrian border, Saddams special forces were put there - a lot of trucks went across the border into Syria, then the special forces left and the regular border guards came back??

I saw it and remember it. Must have been on Fox since I hardly ever watch anything else.

Indeed, what did happen to this information? I've not heard a thing about it since.

I do get the feeling that must be a lot going on behind the scenes, the by-product of which is that a lot of stories like this are getting repressed for some reason. (At least that thought gives me some comfort).

Here is an example of intel which the president COULD release but hasn't. There was aerial imagery which showed a number of large convoys - military vehicles - heading to Syria prior to the war. In addition, a month or two before, there were indications of SRG (Special Republican Guard) units burying weapons in river beds (diverting the flow, burying then restoring the flow, or using cofferdams).

I'm sworn to secrecy, so I can't say anymore.......LOL

Remember that during the Cuban Missile Crisis, JFK in 1962 took a BIG risk and released aerial imagery to the press to build popular support for the quarantine against Cuba and for any possible follow on action, to get rid of the Soviet missiles found there.

Why Bush hasn't done the same with Iraq, I will never know.

I hope so. We in the Pentagon knew of this since February 2003....
