Yeah it truly amazes me how people denigrate a great American corporation like Haliburton. It's my understanding that 85 employees from Haliburton have died in Iraq. Why do the democrats resent giving a government contract to an American corporation. One that appears to be world class in what they do. I get the feeling that the majority of Haliburton haters don't even understand the specialization entailed in what a company like Haliburton does. Who did they want that contract to go too? Why waste valuable time with the red tape process of taking bids from the maybe 4 or 5 companies in the world that can do the kind of things Haliburton does in warzones. Just amazing at the self loathing that emanates from the left.

Not to mention that Haliburton was awarded a no bid contract by the Clinton administration in the Balkans. Not a peep out of the democrats then.

Halliburton is awarded these contracts because they are one of the very few companies that has the ability to fulfill these contracts.

Isn't it interesting? The Liberals think big business is evil, but what is George Soros? Big business does provide a lot of jobs in this country; if you were to put them out of business, think of the jobs that would be lost. When are these people going to "get it"? Wake up and look at the facts. Halliburton is something the Kerryites are using for distraction, so they don't have to explain their own poor record. Scare the workers with the spectre of "big business". How many paychecks does "big business" provide throughout this country. Re: Halliburton - Halliburton got the job because they are the only company that had the ability, knowledge and resources to do it. Read the Federal Procurement Regulations if you want to know more about the process.

Ya know, if Schlamberger got those contracts for the oil side of the business, the libs would be happy. As you might guess Schlumberger is a French Co.
