A pollster that favors Dems and that is well respected changed his mind and thinks Bush will win. A feel good piece from Novak with some good insights. http://www.suntimes.com/output/novak/cst-edt-novak28.html

Kerry unable to crack Bush base

On the same day, the Kerry campaign threw out previous plans and made the candidate's centerpiece a New York Times report of 380 tons of explosives found missing from Iraq. Although NBC embedded reporters said the explosives were gone when U.S. troops arrived in March 2003, Kerry insisted for two days that this was another example of Bush's inadequacy in waging the war on terror. Whether such a complex issue appeals to security moms is another matter.

How in the world would Kerry ever be able to take votes away from president Bush's base? He would have to be a completely different human being. The Kerry campaign is so clueless one has to wonder about their sanity.

Given the other thread where he says Kerry will win, I think Zogby his behaving exactly like is candidate Kerry.

I wonder if he changed his mind because with everything going on his call might suppress the democratic vote turnout. Confused

Screw Zogby. Anyway the new battleground poll has Bush up +5 w/ a 53% job approval rating. http://www.tarrance.com/files/9936QFW7.pdf

I think what he said he was saying is, "Bush is winning now, but Kerry will win the election." Confused

He "seemed" to say Bush a couple of days ago, but says TODAY Kerry is surging and he never offically said Bush before, just Bush was winning, but today he offically predicts a Kerry victory.

ZOGBY - DIFFERENT COLUMNS, DIFFERENT ANSWERS [10/29 10:21 AM]

Earlier this week, Zogby told Bob Novak he was leaning toward predicting a Bush win. Now he tells Sidney Zion he thinks Kerry will win.

Zion mentions how Zogby was right in 1996 - and, to his credit, he detected the late surge for Gore in 2000. But he was way, way off in 2002.

If someone else calls him tomorrow, can they get him to predict a Nader win?
