The response of the candiates to UBL's tape tells you and UBL who is really in charge.

I'll begin with JK. He, like the opportunist that he is, played right into UBL's game of pshycological warfare. By JK mentioning UBL's name he demonstrated to UBL that, "he, UBL has impacted his decision making".

Bush, on the other hand, didn't even acknowledge UBL, hence, he made UBL a non-factor.

Keep in mind when you recognize your enemy by acknowledging him, stating his name, you give him power.

In closing, consider this, why did UBL air his tape now instead of launching an attack? Answer: He can't. The head is still on the body, but the arms are missing.

I remember yesterday that I was impressed with the difference in their inital reactions.

Bush said:"Let me make this very clear, Americans will not be intimidated of influenced by an enemy of our country. I'm sure Senator Kerry agrees with this. I also want to say to the American people that we are at war with these terrorists and I am confident that we will prevail."
I thought this was great, the president even included barf face in it and showed we are united against terror, etc.

I remember thinking what the heck when I heard Kerry's (this was all during the early minutes). I was looking for the exact quote and there appear to be at least three versions out there.

An earlier AP dated yesterday has:"My reaction is that all of us in this city are completely united".

I remember his reaction being bad, but omg, he really is stupid and lame. The guy can't think on his feet. Later dated reports dropped the "in this city" and a couple of foreign paper even put "in this county". Now everyone is running with his official statement " In response to this tape from SBL, let me make it clear, crystal clear. As Americans, we are absolutely united in our determination to hunt down and destroy OBL and th terrorists. They are barbarians. And I will stop at absolutely nothing to hunt down, capture or kill the terrorists wherever they are, whatever it tales. Period."

Helping Kerry out in anyway that they can, yes, that's the msm.
