God I hope he picks Clarke as his mate, it will be a landslide larger than Reagans. Semper Fi.

I'm curious how everyone feels about ret. Gen Welsey Clark. I've seen him making the rounds on the shows these past two days and he just makes my skin crawl.

Is it just me or is this guy NUTS? Between Clark and ret st. Dept. Rubin I don't think Kerry could have two bigger whack jobs working for him.

What's Y'alls take on this?

I'm especially interested in those who've served under him oppinions?

I've been told that with very few exceptions (R E LEE) cadets who are at the very top of their class tend to be a little off kilter.

Clark is a wingnut and as much of a flipflopper as Kerry is.

I think the Kerry campaign/media (same thing, pretty much) would portray them as a couple of war heroes who can keep the coutry secure.

The Democrats have to overcome an image as the anti-war, peacenik party and Clark might help that. The Democrats are trying to win over people who don't pay attention to politics and who will rely on a couple of evenings of watching Rather/Brokaw/Jennings ramble on about what wonderful men Kerry/Clark are, before they choose whom to vote for.

If they pick Clark, they're going to have to keep him as bottled up and as silent as Kerry is. Both lose votes whenever they talk.

Two phony nitwits, a party base full of lunatics and lies about President Bush is what the utterly worthless Democratic Party is offering the American people this fall.

Don't forget that before Kerry got into the anti-war thing, Wesley Clark was already attending protests with Jane 'Hanoi' Fonda, Tom Hayden, Abbie Hoffman, and others!

He's even more radical than Kerry!

[1] relieved of Nato command
[2] flip-flopper

Retired Gen. H. Hugh Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff:: "I've known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote."

Clark was supreme allied commander of NATO forces during the Clinton-era bombing campaign against Serbia. Shelton relieved him of duty in 2000, several months earlier than Clark expected.

Another retired four-star general told the Washington Post recently: "There are an awful lot of people who believe Wes will tell anybody what they want to hear and tell somebody the exact opposite five minutes later. The people who have worked closely with him are the least complimentary, because he can be very abrasive, very domineering. And part of what you saw when he was relieved of command was all of the broken glass and broken china within the European alliance and the [U.S.] European Command."

[3] and then there's the questions about Waco

Nice Research Job Kate!

Clark has many traits that remind me of Kerry! Now watch the trolls tell you what this Republican turned Democrat opportunist contributed to the demise of NATO! ROFLMAO!
