As for us Marines, well you will never understand us. We take responsibility for our own actions, we don't blame higher ups. Our Commanders are not responsible for our misdeeds. They are only there for our logistics and welfare, and of course our guidance.
As for the personal attacks, well you have a lot of nerve. You come on here and bash us Vets, our CIC and our troops and you expect to be welcome. I suppose you would have been the only disenting vote in Iraq against Sadaam. Ya right!
You call us dillusional, stupid etc, then compare my CIC to the Nazi's and Hitler. Then you want to demand your right not to be questioned or checked. Sorry not going to happen with me, Kerry has taken this same stance. Let me be the first to say that your analogy of Nazi's and Bush is repulsive to say the least.
I took an oath, to defend this Nation both foreign and domestic. Kerry took that same oath, but he forgot his. You are testing my dedication to my oath, I stand strong and will defend her if you like it or not. I will not waver, you will not come on here and trash my country or CIC, or my brothers/sisters without the rath of a dedicated patriot coming down on you edited by Moderator. Stop the foul language. Now if that is what you call a personal attack then so be it. Complain and get me banned, I have been booted before. Kerry put a big boot in the A** of every Vet. Your comments are a boot in the A** of every soldier serving today. So go whine and demand your rights while truely honorable men and women fight to preserve that for you. I am sure that you will spin this, but rest assured that it will be a waste of your time, the Vets on here know exactly what I am saying.

Well said, Marine4Life. The topic of this thread is a Marine's letter to the captors of a US Marine in Iraq who are threatening to behead him. (Oops! Wrong thread, but the folowing point still applies!)
It is amazing how every topic in this forum gets politicized and pulled off topic by people like ROTC_DAD. The fact is that it doesn't matter who is in office right now; there's a Marine who needs help, and every Marine who ever put on a uniform knows it. I say continue the Fallujah operation and pound the MFs into oblivion. War Dog is right: it's WAY past time for the gloves to come off!

Actually Walt that was the other thread, this one is about manufactured torture. Any way good post and very true. I don't even own a pair of gloves anymore, I threw them away. It's all about hand to hand now baby. They are about to behead a Marine, we take that personal. With his execution they will open Pandora's Box. The liberals have developed this outragious torture thing, that goes all the way to the top inuendo so that their support for the ones executing our kids can be condoned. Kerry, Moore and the likes all believe that these murderers are freedom fighters just like the minutemen, Paul Revere. That is why we don't hear more in the media about these animals and the beheadings. It would put a wrench in the liberals backing of the terrorists. You want to know who to vote for in Nov. ask a terrorist he will say Kerry. Now why would that be? Semper Fi.

Once again, no proof provided of what you say, to back up what you say, then it is nothing more than your opinion, and since you provide no proof, we have to either take it for the truth or lies. I choose lies.

During WWII, illegal combatants (defined as those out of uniform, carrying firearms, waging war, spying), were taken out and summarily shot. That's exactly what should have been done with the "insurgents" in Iraq. That would have nipped the entire problem in the bud.
The only scandal in Iraq is that our troops, who are operating under the Geneva Convention, have been put at a disadvantage because we insist on treating guerillas as human beings.
