war dog,
URL to torture memo #1: http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/politics/20040608_DOC.pdf

You will need adobe Acrobat Reader for these as these are all pdf files. (I would tell you to enjoy, but I find our government ondoning torture as not only illegal but distasteful).
nodonkey:
The IRC stated numerous times that the majority of prisoners in Abu Ghraib are not terrorists but innocent bystanders. This according to information they were given by US military personnel at the prison. |

I very much doubt they were innocent bystanders. The coalition has better things to do then lock up "innocent" bystanders. Just because one or two of them had run out of ammunition, dropped their weapon or were the drivers for the guys shooting the mortars doesn't make them innocent bystanders.
Taking these "insurgents" out and shooting them in the beginning would have saved countless Iraqi/coalition lives by ending the insurgency. Abu Ghraib is nothing more than a cooked up, irrelevant story that is not worthy of a moment's more discussion.
What is worthy of discussion is whether we're doing what is necessary to win the war on terrorism, whether or not it bunches the panties of a few anchormen, human rights hypocrites (where were they when the mass graves were being filled - writing letters to the editor?) and UN parasites. _________________ "Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face." - Thomas Sowell |
